About the Studio & the Jewelry
...inspired by nature, made by hand
In a small, intimate and quality oriented studio owned and operated by Canadian designer Bridget Fauser the designs are born. Meticulous attention to detail is the hallmark of each and every design created in the studio.
With the new year comes changes. In early 2008 the studio designs have taken a new course, focusing less on one of a kind designs with high end precious gemstones to limited edition collections of organic, contemporary jewelry. After a few months of development, the newest line was launched in January. The Organikx Collection features one of a kind and limited edition collections of hand crafted jewelry inspired by the colors, textures and shapes found in the world around us. This new collection features gemstones, pearls and hand forged precious metals in modern and contemporary designs with a strong focus on organic line, shape and form.
Artist's Statement
My love of art & design spans my entire lifetime. The sheer beauty of the colors and the textures of gemstones and metals spread before me on my work bench fuels my need to create. I approach jewelry design in a way that approaches art ~ I believe the uniqueness and originality of every piece I create lies in expertly harmonizing colors, materials and styles. For years I owned a screen printing, signage and graphic design company. I then went on to hand painting silk wall hangings and hand dyeing & painting clothing, but in jewelry design I found my true passion. The years I've spent studying art & color theory, the many classes and workshops I’ve taken have laid a firm foundation from which I am able to draw upon in my design process. Further training and study helps to keep my designs fresh and unique.
All of my designs are original and one-of-a-kind or created in limited editions. All are created by me with great attention to detail using very high quality gemstones and precious metals, and are constructed for a lifetime of wear. Every gemstone I use is hand picked by me for its beauty, quality & character. The metals I use in my designs are solid gold, 14k (14/20) gold-filled, gold vermeil (22k or 24k gold over sterling silver), sterling (92.5%), high content (97%) and/or fine (99%) silver.
In my studio I am able to do something I truly adore, create beautiful jewelry ~ art to wear. What started out as a hobby a few short years ago has now become a full time business, with my jewelry now scattered throughout Canada, United States, Europe & Australia. Jewelry design is my passion, and when you purchase one of my pieces I hope it will be something that you will cherish, something that will lift your spirit and brighten your day every time you put it on! And I hope that you put it on often …with your jeans …with your fanciest dress …with nothing ~ just wear it …and feel beautiful!  Handcrafted artisan jewelry is again becoming highly sought after and collectible. I am proud to be a member (#44) of SRAJD (Self Representing Artist ~ Jewelry Designer).
